Working Principle
Exhaust Gas/ Waste Heat Recovery (also referred WHR) are fully packaged industrial System equipped with advanced instrumentation to deliver maximum possible heat recovery. This system is ideal to recover heat from gensets, incinerators, blast furnace exhausts, Cement Clinker, Coke Oven, etc. They enhance the system efficiency and help save fuel and money.
Solution to Industry
Jyotech provides energy solutions to utilize waste heat from various processes and applications to improve overall energy balance in oil & gas, minerals, ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, cement, glass and other sectors. The offerings include a variety of customized, turnkey solutions to generate heat, steam and power.
Application of WASTE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM (WHR System) in Various Industries
Cement Industry, Sponge Iron, Coke Oven / Coke Quenching Plant, Exhaust Gas Boiler, Sulphur Recovery Plants, Chemical Industry, Oil & Gas Industry, Glass Furnaces, Hydrogen Plant, Refinery & Petrochemical Industry, Non Ferrous Industry (Copper Smelter/Zinc Smelter etc) and many more
PAYBACK CALCULATION OF WASTE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM
It varies with different application of different industry; configuration and available heat (e.g., moisture content of raw feed) determine the applicable WHR technology and size.
- WHR system costs
- Operating and maintenance costs (O&M) which are typically 2.5 percent of capital costs per year for steam systems.
- Operating hours, more hours are better for project economics. Typical values range from 7,200 to 7,800 hours per year.
- Value of displaced electricity, either purchased from the grid or avoided costs from a captive power plant. Purchased power prices vary widely depending on country and/or supplier.
